Nutrition:

 The body is a machine and it must be fueled to perform as one. Nutrition is one of the key components in the foundation of performance. We take into account many factors to determine the best nutritional program for you. We considered the sport, your position, your body type, your biological and physiological make up, your goals and expectations among other factors that are unique to you and your needs. The proper nutrition for an athlete can:
 
  • Elevate the physical and mental part of your game.
  • Decrease recovery time

Yoga For The Athlete:

 A customized sport-specific program that teaches dynamic movement for in-season athletes to maintain flexibility, balance and strength; combined with static deep-opening sequences for training or off days to increase flexibility, mobility and mind-body-breath awareness.

 
Introducing and enforcing the customized mind-body-breath approach, sports yoga will:
 
Provide Focus – heighten awareness and avoid mental stress
Increase Flexibility – restore balance to the muscular system, allowing for increased range of motion, quicker recovery and less injury
Strengthen Breath – enhancing neuromuscular efficiency, increasing responsiveness, control and accuracy of movement
 
 
Yoga is a highly effective training tool that helps athletes restore balance and stability creating a foundation for success on the field of play and off. 
 

Mindset:

They say sports are about 90% mental and 10% physical. Or, 75% mental and 25% physical. Depending on who you ask. The point is, it is the consensus is that sport performance and success is mostly the mental stamina and strength and one’s mindset over the physical ability and strength. Mindset is defined as the established set of attitudes held by someone. Physical athleticism can go a long way and of course is important in performance but with the right mindset in place, one’s abilities and performance can elevate to new levels. What does that mean? The mental aspect of sport is attitude on how we approach the game, play the game and the training and preparation in between. It is the way an athlete deals and handles setbacks, losses and the competition. When the mindset is off or nonexistent it can make it very difficult for athletes to perform at their full potential. They may have difficulty dealing with loss, poor athletic performance, or recovering from injury. It can affect how they get over a slump as well as not knowing how to deal with success or balance of both their athletic and personal life or life as a student athlete. The proper competitive mindset can:
